Getting Known Pt. 2

Reading threw the comments I came across a very good point that I neglected to mention... talking to other students. This is useful for many reasons. First off, you never know who you're gong to meet. For all you know you could be sitting next to your future wife/husband. Knowing a few people in the class can also be a life saver. Lets say you miss a class and you need the notes for that test coming up, you now have someone to ask. Speaking of tests, talk to the people you know about having a study group.

Pro Tip: always always always dress to impress. You dont need to show up in your sunday best every day but make sure to shave, shower, and were clean clothing. Remember, no one likes a dirty neckbeard, there almost as bad as hippies.

  1. haha i've found this to be true. i always make a point to talk to at least one person each class, whether it's a new person or someone i have talked to before. it's important! whether it's a passing comment or a full-fledged conversation, i do my best! also, dressing somewhat nice is good.

  3. I found this somewhat helpful in community college.. I didn't talk to that many people because, well, it was community college! I just wanted to go there and get out! Next year though, I might have to socialize a little more.

  4. Getting to know people can also prevent those annoying mass e-mails to the entire class like "Hey, missed lecture derpa derp. I need notes from someone!"

  8. I wish I had read this on my first year. Didn't really communicate with people then and it was really awkward going to a almost complete stranger to ask to borrow their notes.

  9. I'm not shy, but in general I prefer keeping to myself. Though I do thank god I at least got to know one person in each of my classes, because it truly has saved my life for tests and assignments.

  13. i wear a track suit, have long hair and a 6 month beard and carry around a yoga mat in my college. My excuse is this is my last semester, which is! Luckily I still have a social life, kinda like how Jesus did.
